Oscar Donde, PhD

Dr. Oscar Donde is a distinguished environmental scientist with extensive expertise in water quality, sustainability, and environmental science. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the University of Chinese Academy of Science, along with a Master’s in Limnology and a Bachelor’s in Applied Aquatic Sciences from Egerton University. In addition to his academic achievements, he has undertaken professional training in environmental impact assessment, water quality monitoring, and public finance management. Currently, he serves as a Lecturer/Assistant Professor at Egerton University and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Rennes, France.

Dr. Donde is also the Co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Pan Africa Science Journal, where he has played a pivotal role in advancing African-led research and open scholarly communication. His contributions have earned him prestigious honors, including the 2024 National Outstanding Young Researcher Award and the MOPGA Visiting Fellowship Program. With over 40 peer-reviewed publications, extensive consultancy and international collaboration experience, and a strong commitment to mentoring postgraduate students, Dr. Donde continues to champion sustainability and inclusive global research practices.
